Financial aid consists of grants and loans that are intended to help students pay for tuition and fees, room and board (or living expenses, if commuting), transportation, books and supplies.
Financial aid does not always cover all expenses, so you may wish to research additional options or set up an appointment with your financial aid counselor to go over your funding possibilities. The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is the only application required by SCSU. It is important to note that grant funding is limited and awarded based on financial need and availability of funds.
