2026 SCSU Teaching Academy

Join us on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, for informal, collegial discussions on 3 timely topics:

• Session A: Who are our SCSU students? A discussion about strengths our students bring as well as challenges we face in supporting and teaching our students. We will discuss pathways forward and helpful institutional supports/resources.

• Session B: To Al or Not Al? Navigating Al in the Classroom. Join colleagues in discussion about aspects of using (or not) Al in our classrooms. Participants will beinvited to share ways they use Al, why they don't use Al, boundaries around Al use, and more!

• Session C: Renew & Reset: Designing a Sustainable & Refreshing Summer. In this strategy-focused session, we will brainstorm and explore tools and ideas for ways to maximize summer for self-care, rejuvenation, rest, and restoration as well as thinking about how to start the next academic year fresh!

Each session will be 45 minutes and will run twice during the day at the Adanti Center Ballroom.

Session A: 9:00-9:45 & 12:00-12:45

Session B:10:00-10:45 & 1:00-1:45

Session C:11:00-11:45 & 2:00-2:45
