National Student Nurses' Association (NSNA)

National Student Nurses' Association is a voluntary organization through which nursing students practice self-governance; advocate for student rights and the rights of patients; and take collective responsible action on vital social and political issues.

The NSNA mentors the professional development of future registered nurses and facilitates their entrance into the professions by providing educational resources, leadership opportunities, career guidance, and community involvement.

SCSU Multicultural Health Leaders (SCSU-MCHL)

SCSU Multicultural Health Leaders (SCSU-MCHL) is an inclusive and dynamic nursing student organization that is open to all students on campus. SCSU-MCHL is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in nursing and other health professions while building a strong sense of community and professional identity among students from all backgrounds.

The SCSU-MCHL serves as a bridge between students and esteemed professional organizations, including the Connecticut Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (CT-NAHN) and the Northern Connecticut Black Nurses Association (NCBNA). Through these partnerships, members gain valuable mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to professional development resources that support their growth in nursing and other healthcare professions.

SCSU Men in Nursing is a student organization within the School of Nursing that is open to all nursing students, regardless of gender. The organization is dedicated to supporting, empowering, and increasing the representation of men in the nursing profession while fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment for all students.

SCSU-MIN provides a platform for students to network, engage in professional development, and advocate for gender diversity in nursing. The organization is committed to challenging stereotypes, promoting leadership and mentorship opportunities, and preparing students for successful careers in various healthcare settings.
