Academic Specialist
Academic Specialists are high-achieving SCSU students who offer tutoring support in a variety of subjects to SCSU students. Academic Specialists aid students in achieving academic success by helping them to develop an understanding of course content as well as effective study strategies.

Peer Academic Leader (PAL)
Peer Academic Leader (PALS) Program is a series of weekly review sessions for students taking historically difficult courses. PALS is provided for all students in the supported classes who want to improve their understanding of course material and improve their grades. PALS are SCSU students who have successfully completed the class for which they are assigned to support. PALS attend class for their assigned course once per week and then plan and hold review sessions for the students enrolled in that class section to review and discuss challenging concepts, share additional resources and materials, and help students develop more effective study skills.
Academic Success Coach
Academic Success Coaches are current students who demonstrate a mastery of the holistic elements of academic success. Academic Success Coaches help students identify barriers to academic success and assist them in creating and applying action plans for overcoming challenges. Success Coaches help students maximize their potential by supporting and assisting students in gaining effective strategies and behaviors that can support their personal and academic lives.

Success Navigator
Success Navigators are model undergraduate students who serve as the face and front line of the Center for Academic Success & Accessibility Services (CASAS). Success Navigators support CASAS by engaging students and other visitors who arrive to the center in meaningful conversations and supporting CASAS initiatives.
