Updates to the Academic Success Center for the Remainder of the Semester
We know it can be hard to maintain "school mode" at home, especially if you are the only one in the house trying to be productive. Looking for a quiet space to come together with others and re-create that library atmosphere? Join the Academic Success Center in our weekly Virtual Study Hall Hours! Hold yourself and others accountable for a chunk of time during the day, and make sure you are getting something done. Ready to join? During this time the Academic Success Center will maintain the same hours and offerings online as we did within the physical location. Traditional hours are Sunday 4:30-8:00pm; Monday – Wednesday 8:00am-9:00pm; Thursday 8:00am-8:00pm; and Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. For example, if chemistry tutoring has been offered on Tuesday from 4-6 and Wednesday from 12-3, those will be the same times the tutor would be available providing online support as well.
All support will take place through the TEAMS online platform. TEAMS is readily available to you as one of your MySCSU apps. TEAMS functions best if accessed through the Chrome internet browser. If you do not have a computer available to you, you may also download the TEAMS app on your mobile phone.
All appointments for services will continue to be made through SSC Navigate, which you have access to as one of your MySCSU apps. Click into SSC Navigate, press the blue “Make an Appointment” button and follow the prompts to confirm your appointment(s). View full instructions (pdf). Upon confirmation, you will receive an automatic email with more information on how to access your online session.
All courses that were originally being tutored for, will continue. All tutoring will continue to be appointment based.
All Math services will be converted to one/one appointments and can be made on SSC Navigate. There will be no drop-in services during this time.
The times that were initially being offered for tutoring will stay the same.
If there is a course you need support with that you do not need see if being offered, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We will work to the best of our ability to find help for you.
To help us monitor volume of tutoring, if you are unable to get an appointment with a tutor within 3 days, please email email@example.com so we can work to add more hours as needed.

All PALS sessions will continue to run during the same times they have been scheduled. However, the difference now is that you will need to sign-up for sessions through SSC Navigate. PALS will continue to run as group sessions.

Academic Success Coaching
All Academic Success Coaching will continue, and is available for anyone who needs support. Coaching requirements for SAP, Greek Life, Club Sports, UAP, and PASS will still be upheld – all coaching staff will be online during their normally scheduled shifts ready to assist for the rest of the semester.

Please know that each tutor, PAL, and Academic Success Coach will sign you into your sessions (will mirror swiping in outside the academic success center) so you are recorded in your attendance to sessions -- Faculty will still be able to request reports of attendance.
Access our Live Chat feature that you can use to ask for help as needed, especially with making appointments. The live chat will be attended to during all normal operating hours for the academic success center. NOTE: The live chat is not an outlet to receive academic support.
We will also have someone answering the main phone line daily.
