The department strongly recommends study abroad for language majors and minors and works with the International Programs office to place students in living and learning environments where students are immersed in language and culture. Majors and minors should discuss options with their advisers, and interested students should contact the IP office directly. In addition, the program offers several study abroad experience led by faculty during summer break.
Spanish in Salamanca, Spain

Universitat Jaume I offers a variety of courses in both Spanish and English programs. The Spanish program offers a variety of intensive, semi-intensive and tailor-made courses to meet the needs of learners of Spanish at a variety of levels. Students interested in taking advanced courses in various content disciplines are able to do so through general offerings at the Universitat Jaume I that teaches 80% if courses in Spanish.
