Wendemi Sawadogo
My name is Wendemi Sawadogo. I earned my Ph.D. degree in Epidemiology from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), in Richmond, VA, in May 2023. Prior to that, I received a Master in Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Epidemiology from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans, Louisiana in May 2019. I also hold a Medical Doctorate (MD) from the University of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, where I am originally from. Before coming to the United States, I practiced medicine in Burkina Faso for 2 years. I combine clinical experience with epidemiological and public health skills to conduct research that addresses important epidemiological questions with a strong focus on cardiovascular and sleep epidemiology.
