Come and learn the duties and responsibilities of law enforcement officers.

Wednesdays, 4 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

The academy will cover topics related to patrol procedures, evidence collection, Taser operation, search and seizure, drug investigations, DUI, traffic enforcement, Connecticut laws, firearms simulator, and a presentation from the bomb squad. Participants will also have the opportunity for role playing and a ride along with police officers.

The academy is being offered at no cost to participate and is open to students, faculty, and staff members of the Southern community.
