Multicultural Center

The SCSU Multicultural Center (MCC) is a resource center for all students and the community.

We provide multicultural, diversity, and social justice events, leadership opportunities and programming initiatives to promote the academic success, equality, and leadership development of students and foster a welcoming and inclusive community. Our commitment to diversity includes but is not limited to race, age, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, ability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, religion.

The MCC welcomes ALL students, faculty, staff and community members to our events while at the same time supporting and celebrating specific constituency groups (including African and African American, Asian and Asian American, American Indian/Indigenous, Hispanic/Latino, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Women, Men and Faith communities). We aim to enhance the Southern experience by fostering a more inclusive campus climate where everyone feels welcome, valued and respected.
