Affirmative Action Plan

As an agency of the State of Connecticut, Southern is hereby communicating to all employees that we are an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.  Each year in accordance with section 46a-68-79 of the Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities Regulations, the University’s Affirmative Action Policies and Affirmative Action Plan are made available for review to the Southern Connecticut State University campus community. To meet our affirmative action commitments, we are inviting you to review the current SCSU Affirmative Action Plan and AAP Summary.  Copies are available on-line, and hard copies are available in the Office of Diversity & Equity and  Buley Library.

Any comments regarding the Affirmative Action Plan should be directed to Paula Rice, Director of the Office of Diversity and Equity Programs.  Ms. Rice is the person designated with the responsibility and authority to administer and monitor our Affirmative Action Program.  We solicit and appreciate any comments you may have regarding our plan and/or suggestions you might have concerning how we might be more successful in achieving our affirmative action goals. Comments on the current plan will be accepted until August 15th .
