Academic Advising Statement of Solidarity

The Department of Academic Advising stands in solidarity with students of color and all who protest against systemic racism, police brutality, and other forms of violence and marginalization against disenfranchised communities.

We strive to foster meaningful relationships with our students and will continue to serve them without discrimination to sex, race, color, national origin and religion. We believe in opportunities for all students, and that activities that stigmatize or marginalize students on campus or in the community have no place in our learning environment. We are committed to creating and fostering a university environment that is inclusive and equitable by using our voice to ensure that policies, practices, and procedures align with these values.

To our students: we hear you, we see you, and we stand with you.
