The SAGE Center is committed to providing a positive academic, cultural, and social environment where the LGBTQ+ community at Southern can learn, grow, and thrive. We help to cultivate inclusion through social and educational programming, advocacy, and support.

We collaborate with clubs on campus, especially the LGBT Prism Club, an undergraduate student-run organization that works toward educational awareness, promotes acceptance and fairness in campus policies and student attitudes, and above all maintains a supportive network

The SAGE Center is a support center for all students on campus. Here on our website, you can find information about Southern’s resources for the LGBTQ+ community and our cisgender and heterosexual community.

If you are looking for our inclusivity opportunities, we have information on on-campus all-gender restrooms, gender-inclusive housing, and preferred names.

For those looking to learn more about the community, we are building a database of LGBTQ media that includes books, TV shows, movies, music, theater, and podcasts that feature queer people.

Should you or someone you know need clothing, please visit the Center’s Open Door Closet, which features clothing of all shapes, sizes, and styles. The Closet is free to all.
