POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Director is responsible for supporting the educational and developmental needs of teacher education candidates by providing significant student support to undergraduate and graduate students. This position is responsible for assuring that students meet University, state, and accreditation requirements for school-based placements. This individual must work fluidly with students, faculty, and administrators within the College of Education, the institution, and with school district partners to assure that teacher education candidates enter into positive, productive learning experiences throughout their academic program.
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree required. Three years’ experience working with college-age students in an academic or student services role OR experience as a professional PK - 12 educator/administrator required. Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Web-based data management systems and knowledge of Banner and Tk20 by Watermark experience preferred. These qualifications may be waived for individuals with appropriate alternate experience.
