University Assistant, 19hr/week – LSAMP (Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation)

This is a temporary, part-time position which may be renewed at the discretion of the University.

The University Assistant for the LSAMP Alliance is a part-time, August 2024 - May 2025 role dedicated to supporting the LSAMP (Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation) Project Director.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the LSAMP Project Director in coordinating faculty and staff participation in LSAMP programs.

Serve as a point of contact for peer mentors, LSAMP scholars, LSAMP Project Director, and institutional coordinators.

Assist LSAMP Project Director in creating and maintaining LSAMP website.

Handle administrative duties including making copies and ordering food for events and meetings.

Maintain and update social media for the alliance, coordinating with institutional coordinators at each location to ensure consistency.

Assist Project Director in marketing activities and planning events for LSAMP scholars. Collaborate with each institution to manage a coordinated marketing process.

Assist Project Director with oversight of the LSAMP Center, ensuring it is well-stocked with necessary supplies for students. 

Participate in additional grant-related activities and initiatives as needed.

Strong organizational and communication skills.
Experience in social media management and event planning.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
Commitment to supporting the goals of the LSAMP program.
