Position Summary
The Office of Sponsored Programs and Research (SPAR) at Southern Connecticut State University is seeking a detail-oriented, organized individual to support its centralized research administration office with daily pre-award and post-award duties.
Responsibilities
- Conduct funding opportunity searches to match individual or institutional priorities
- Review proposal application guidelines and prepare proposal requirement checklists
- Copyedit and proofread drafted proposals and supporting materials for clarity and compliance
- Aid in the processing of internal approval workflows and new award set-ups
- Support document review and post-award data entry tasks
- Review electronic records for audit and archive purposes
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Close attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite tools
- Comfort learning new online systems (Kuali Higher Ed, Banner)
Preferred
- Experience with grant administration and sponsored programs
- Prior experience working in a university or public agency environment
Compensation
Hourly rate commensurate with experience and university guidelines
