Under the guidance of the Transfer Articulation and Enrollment Coordinator, the Transfer Services Assistant provides operational applicant and student support services to the Transfer Admissions and Services Office, with a focus on quality student service delivery and transfer credit processing.

Position Responsibilities

Provides the first level of assistance for calls, emails, mail, and walk-in requests for transfer credit information received by the Transfer Admissions and Services Office.

Processes and reconciles official transcripts, official test scores and other official transfer credit documentation for incoming transfer students and completes initial transfer credit evaluations, updates end of semester grades and posted degrees, in progress courses, transcript and degree holds, test scores and other credit input for incoming transfer students.

Troubleshoots transfer credit discrepancies for incoming transfer students and assists with transfer bank updates and maintenance.

Assists with transfer credit requests and processing for current students.

Utilizes various technology, including CRM, Banner, Navigate and document imaging tools to assist in the enrollment of incoming transfer students.

May assist in transfer application review.

Assists with the creation of training materials and internal documentation for transfer credit processing and the operation of the Transfer Admissions and Services Office and associated systems, policies, and procedures.

Assists with informing students, University staff and community partners on transfer credit policies. May assist with applicant outreach including phone calls and email campaigns.

Occasional evening and weekend hours required. May supervise University Student Workers.

Performs other duties and responsibilities related to those above which do not alter the basic level of responsibility of the position.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of higher education student service experience. Demonstrated ability to handle varied and confidential information, organize and perform detailed work, and multitask while demonstrating exemplary customer service skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate and share information effectively with a variety of people and groups. Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with higher education transfer process, document imaging and student information systems preferred. Credentials and/or experience substantially comparable to the above may also be considered.
