Southern Connecticut State University, FULL-TIME, TENURE-TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR Appointment beginning Fall 2024: The Psychology department invites applicants for a position with emphasis in Applied Psychology. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in an area of Applied Psychology, such as Clinical, Clinical Neuropsychology, Psychotherapy, Psychological Testing, Health Psychology, or other Applied areas. The candidate will be expected to teach within their area psychology at the undergraduate and graduate level, along with courses in Statistics and Research Methods. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or expect to complete the degree by August 1st 2024; an active and productive research program; ability to involve students in his/her research; evidence of ability to teach effectively; and ability to mentor undergraduate and graduate student research. Specific research emphasis is open; however, preference will be given to candidates whose research/teaching interests complement those of existing faculty. The position has a 12-hour credit load per semester, which includes credit for supervising student research, and undergraduate and graduate theses. All faculty members contribute to student advising and both departmental and university service. Southern values teaching excellence and serves a highly diverse student population.
