Over the years, The Southern Connecticut State University Women's & Gender Studies Department has forged a strong relationship with the vibrant National Women's Studies Association. The NWSA was established in 1977 and one of its primary objectives is to promote and support the production and dissemination of knowledge about women and gender through teaching, learning, research and service in academic and other settings.
