Social Welfare Organization (SWO)

Social Work majors accepted into the BSW program are members of the Social Welfare Organization (SWO), which is the undergraduate social work student organization.

SWO members can participate in a variety of of activites, including:

  • Volunteering at social service organizations
  • Organizing clothing drives during the fall holidays
  • Attending presentations by area graduate school representatives
  • Participating in the CT Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers' annual conference in the spring
  • Organizing presentations on social work issues
