AAC and AT Collaborative

The SCSU AAC/AT Collaborative is a group of faculty and staff, from various backgrounds and departments who collaborate on various Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology (AT) activities.

SCSU AAC/AT Collaborative

During the past 3 years, each of us has been expanding and enhancing our programs to increase opportunities to provide effective education to our undergraduate and graduate students in both Augmentative and Alternative Communication and Assistive Technology. We have established an AAC/AT collaborative, an AAC Lab in the Department of Communication Disorders, an AT Certificate in the Department of Special Education, and an Occupational Therapy program is under development.

This page details some of our activities including the yearly SCSU AAC/AT Expo. The purpose of this event is to bring practitioners of varying experiences together to network and build on their knowledge of the practices and resources available across the state of CT in AAC and AT. It is our collective vision that this event can support increased capacity for our colleagues who are providing support and services to people with varying needs.
