As the Director of Student Involvement, Denise Bentley-Drobish supervises the daily operations of the Office of Student Involvement, clubs and organizations, the New Student Orientation Program, Programs Council and is the primary adviser to the Student Government Association. Denise earned her bachelor's degree in sociology from Southern Connecticut State University.

Shortly after graduating, she began working in Residence Life as a hall director, then was promoted to area coordinator, and eventually the assistant director of Residence Life. During that time, she earned a master's degree in counseling. In the fall of 1997, Denise was promoted to Assistant Dean of Student Affairs where she assumed responsibility over all clubs and organizations on campus. Denise has played an integral role in implementing a comprehensive New Student Orientation Program, which has served more than 10,000 new students since 1998. In the spring of 2000, Denise was officially named the Director of Student Involvement.

Eric LaCharity joined the Office of Student Involvement in September of 2007 after spending his first year as an administrator in the Office of Judicial Affairs.  In the fall of 2009, Eric became the Coordinator of the new Office of Campus Recreation.  As the Associate Director, Eric coordinates the Greek Life program, oversees Programs Council, manages the Office of Student Involvement website, and helps supervise the daily operations of the office.   Eric holds a bachelor's degree in communication/video production and a master's degree in recreation and leisure studies.

Daphney Alston

Daphney currently oversees our over 100 clubs and organizations. She supports students in creating new organizations as well as supporting the daily logistical functions related to club and organizations, which includes managing the University’s OwlConnect page.

Daphney attended the University of Connecticut and received as a bachelor's degree in human development and family studies. She then attended Central Connecticut State University, where she worked as a program advisor in the Department of Student Activities and Leadership Development and received a master's degree in Counseling and Student Development in Higher Education. Prior to coming to SCSU, Daphney worked at Bryant University as the assistant director for the Office of Campus Engagement.

Charlene Cammarasana has worked at Southern Connecticut State University since 1999 as secretary in the Office of Student Involvement. Charlene assists club and organization members and advisers in all of their endeavors. She is responsible for managing the student staff and provides administrative support for the director and assistant director. Charlene earned her bachelor's degree in communication in May 2007.

Charlotte is a Graduate Intern in the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership Development responsible for overseeing the programming board (ProCon), commuter student initiatives, and signature events. Charlotte received her BS at Eastern Connecticut State University where she majored in Communication. She is currently a graduate student at Central Connecticut State University in the Counseling and Student Development in Higher Education program.

Jenna Dunn attended Naugatuck Valley Community College and received an associate's degree in early childhood education. She then attended Eastern Connecticut State University, where she worked as a Resident Assistant in a first-year residence hall and received a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and sociology. In her current role as a Graduate Intern, Jenna supports perspective student club and organizations through the recognition process, works closely with the office's graphic designers, and focuses on leadership programs on campus, such as the Freshman Leadership Experience Program, Bronze Leadership Certificate Program, Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society, and supporting Peer Mentors.

Alandre received his BA at University of Connecticut where he majored in Psychological Science. He is currently a graduate student at Central Connecticut State University in the Counseling and Student Development in Higher Education program.
