All SCSU employees have access to Copilot Chat, Microsoft’s AI-powered chat experience for work. Copilot Chat can help you draft content, summarize information, answer questions, brainstorm ideas, analyze data you provide, and improve productivity. It includes enterprise data protection, ensuring that prompts and responses remain protected within SCSU's security and compliance framework.
Microsoft 365 Copilot is a premium upgrade that integrates directly with your Microsoft 365 applications and work data. In addition to the features available in Copilot Chat, Microsoft 365 Copilot can assist within Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 applications. It can help summarize meetings and email threads, generate documents and presentations, analyze spreadsheets, and provide insights within SCSU's Microsoft 365 environment.
To request a Microsoft 365 Copilot license, please complete the Microsoft 365 Copilot License Request Form.
You will need the following information to complete the form: your supervisor's name and contact information, your budget authority's name and contact information, the departmental cost center or index number that will fund the license, and a business justification describing how Microsoft 365 Copilot will support your job responsibilities and improve productivity. A Microsoft 365 Copilot license costs $20 per user per month (subject to change based on Microsoft licensing and university agreements). We will review and approve each request before assigning a license.
