Extra Support and Resources

There are a variety of departments and offices on campus that offer emergency assistance to students. At Southern, we look to keep our students safe, comfortable, and with the opportunity to advocate for themselves.

Dean of Student's Office

The Dean of Students Office assists with basic needs (food/housing), technology (WiFi), navigating physical/mental health needs (i.e. surgery, in or out-patient programs), loss of a family member (notifies faculty), and much more. We know your student can be successful and hope you and your student enjoy your time at Southern!

Violence Prevention, Victim Advocacy, and Support (VPAS) Center

The Violence Prevention, Victim Advocacy, and Support Center is dedicated to fostering a campus experience with respect and safety for all students. We know that students may face a variety of emergencies and VPAS is here to provide resources and allow them to advocate for themselves.
