The University will close on Monday and Tuesday, February 23-24, 2026, due to a winter storm and ongoing storm cleanup efforts. All Monday and Tuesday events and all classes, both in-person and online, are canceled.

The University will be closed on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, due to ongoing storm cleanup efforts.
This decision reflects our continued commitment to campus safety and operational readiness, allowing our facilities team the necessary time to thoroughly clear campus walkways and parking areas. It also gives our community the opportunity to adjust plans for university events and to attend to other essential responsibilities, such as family care and snow removal.
All classes and events, both in-person and online, are canceled for the day. Buley Library will remain closed.
The next weather update will be sent on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, between 4 and 6 p.m. Please continue to monitor your university email and social media for the most up-to-date information.
For the duration of this storm-related closure, the governor is directing that:

Employees who telework during the closure should code their time as REGTC. Employees who do not telework during the closure should code their time as LWWTR.
Level 1 (L1 SUOAF, NP-2, NP-5)
Employees are required to report to campus and should code their time as REG.

Please continue parking in the garages until 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2026. All cars must be removed from the garages between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday to allow plows to access and clear the upper levels.
Connecticut Hall will open for brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and for dinner from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The Adanti Student Center and all other dining locations will be closed.
Be mindful of facilities crews working. Keep your heads up, phones down, and a safe distance from plows and other machinery.
