Governor's Employee Guidance
For the duration of this storm-related closure, the governor is directing that:
- Level 1 executive branch state employees should report to work as scheduled or directed.
- Level 2 executive branch state employees should not report to work in person to their state offices/work locations in person. Additionally:
- Level 2 employees who are scheduled to telework should do so or use their accrued leave; and
- Level 2 employees who are scheduled to report to work in-person to their state offices/work locations are requested, though not required, to telework, in accordance with the executive branch Telework Policy.

Monday, February 2, 2026
- The Governor granted time off and ordered all State of Connecticut executive branch office buildings closed to the public due to a winter storm.
- Employees who were scheduled to telework on Monday, February 23, 2026 should telework during the closure and code their time as REGTC.
- Employees who were not scheduled to telework were not expected to do so and should code their time as LWGOV with the override reason code LBZ26.
Tuesday & Wednesday, February 24-25, 2026
- The University declared a closure due to ongoing storm cleanup efforts.
- Employees who were scheduled to telework on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 should telework during the closure and code their time as REGTC.
- Employees who were not scheduled to telework were not expected to do so and should code their time as LWWTR.
