We are committed to ensuring the integrity of Southern’s financial data through the efficient recording of fiscal transactions in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) as well as State and Federal internal control and reporting guidelines by monitoring transactions through reconciliations, assisting with database setups and other internal control measures.
The department also provides accounting services to the campus such as fiscal reporting for internal & external purposes, posting journal entries, managing interagency and grant billings, payments and drawdowns, and assisting with questions about Banner processing, the chart of accounts and ledger transactions.
