ACHA-NCHA Survey

The American College Health Association National College Health Assessment (ACHA-NCHA) Survey was administered to undergraduate and graduate students at Southern Connecticut State University in 2005 and 2008.

Content Areas of the ACHA-NCHA Survey include:  

  • Alcohol, tobacco and other drug use
  • Sexual Health
  • Weight, Nutrition and Exercise
  • Mental Health
  • Personal Safety and Violence

In 2005, SCSU was one of 71 colleges and universities nationwide (comprising 54,111 students) that participated in the survey. In 2008, SCSU was one of 106 colleges and universities nationwide (comprising 80,121 students) that participated in the survey. Aggregate data is available from 609 SCSU students who participated in the ACHA-NCHA survey in 2005 and 747 students who participated in the survey in 2008. Students were randomly selected at the course level and surveys were administered during class sessions.
