The majority of academic support is available in the Center for Academic Success and Accessibility Services located on the 3rd floor of the Buley Library.
CASAS provides writing support, math tutors, and tutoring in almost every subject and for over one hundred courses. This individualized support is available virtually and in person. Some tutors work directly with professors in specific courses. There are Peer Academic Leaders (PALS) and coaches that hold weekly sessions!
Here are some tips and ways to support your student through their college academic journey!
In high school and prior, students have been provided with IEP and 504 plans. Students are also entitled to receive accommodations in college. Once your student is enrolled and has courses selected for the next semester they can request accommodations through CASAS. There are different types of accommodations in regards to a student's academic experience and their residential living. To review the policies and procedures you can visit the Center for Academic Success and Accessibility Services.
