From the President: Happy Thanksgiving!

Dear Southern Community, 

As Thanksgiving approaches, I am filled with gratitude for the care and dedication you bring to Southern every day. This year, I unexpectedly stepped into the role of interim president, and the supportive, collaborative spirit I have experienced across campus has been generous and much appreciated. I am grateful to work alongside people who care deeply for our students, respect one another, and dedicate themselves to a standard of excellence. I recognize your commitment to mentoring first-generation students, creating welcoming spaces, and connecting students with careers and innovative opportunities. Your contributions are meaningful and impactful.

This season, as you experience the joy and challenges of juggling work, family, and personal responsibilities I hope you will find time to rest and recharge. I look forward to finishing the semester – and year – strong, together.
