The Writing Center is actively looking for opportunities to bring writers to campus to workshop with our students. If you are interested in bringing a writer to campus, please contact the Writing Director at mcdanielm4 at southernct dot edu.

In February 2019, the Writing Center, in conjunction with the World Languages and Literature Department, brought Chilean feminist, writer, and speaker Pía Barros to SCSU.

In March 2019, the Writing Center, in conjunction with the English Department and in celebration of SCSU's 125th Anniversary, brought award-winning Southern alumna author Xhenet Aliu to campus.
