The Wellness Center at Southern is responsible for broad undergraduate and graduate student health outreach on topics including, but not limited to: sexual health, tobacco use, nutrition, drugs and alcohol, sleep and stress.
The staff facilitates health promotion activities for the campus community, including educational sessions, special events, outreach in residence halls and classrooms, and other programs upon request. Don't Cancel Your Class: Invite A Guest Speaker
Have a conference or a meeting that you know about ahead of time? Don't cancel your class! Instead, invite a guest speaker from the Wellness Center, VPAS (Violence Prevention, Victim Advocacy, and Support) Center, or Counseling Services to present to your class. The staff member(s) will meet with your class, present on the topic chosen, and can take attendance if requested. Please click here to fill out our request form for classroom presentations. We will do our very best to find coverage for your class. After your form is received, a staff member from the Wellness Center will be in contact with you to confirm and clarify any questions.

Free condom dispensers are located in every Residence Hall in the first or second floor utility room, and in the restrooms on the Plaza Level of the Student Center. Take a look at this map to see all the locations of condom dispensers on campus!

Get Yourself Tested

Interested in quitting JUUL, or any other tobacco product? Free and confidential quit kits are available for all undergraduate and graduate students. Order your FREE quit kit, and let us know if you would like it delivered straight to your residence hall (for residential students) or picked up in the Wellness Center located in Schwartz Hall.
Ask The Dietitian
A Registered Dietitian will be in the Fitness Center: ASC 204 this fall to answer your diet and nutrition questions and help you make healthy choices. Stay tuned for Fall 2019 Dates. Free for all undergraduate and graduate students.

- Develop knowledge on the use of Narcan
- Promote awareness of the signs of opioid overdose
