Individuals testing at the Southern Testing Center are required to do the following once they have paid and registered for the specific test they are taking.

Individuals taking a test at the center MUST arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their test time. This grace period allows time for individuals taking the test to sign in, put away their possessions, and use the restroom if needed. Latecomers will not be permitted to take the test.

Individuals taking a test at the center MUST bring appropriate identification to the testing center. This can be a valid driver's license or passport. The names MUST match exactly from the verification to the name that has registered for the test.

Individuals taking a test in the center should leave all personal possessions in their car, except for their wallet, keys, and identification. No possessions are allowed in the testing center. If an individual does bring items like a practice test book, water bottle, or coat, it will go into the storing area. The individual will be assigned a locked cabinet that is in a room adjacent to the testing room where their belongings will be kept safely until the test has been completed.

Individuals taking a test in the center MUST follow our strict electronic devices protocol. Cell phones and other electronic device must be turned off and put away before entering the testing room. Test takers are not allowed to use cell phones or electronic devices during the entire test session and during any restroom breaks.

Individuals taking a test in the center will be assigned a seat by proctors. Individuals are not permitted to choose their own seat or move once seated.

Individuals taking a test in the center are not permitted to use personal calculators and/or electronic dictionaries. If a calculator is necessary for the test, it will be provided on Microsoft Word.

Individuals taking a test in the center must pay close attention to the directions given by the proctors. Individuals may be dismissed and/ or their test will be voided if they fail to follow directions.

Individuals taking a test in the center may not leave and return to the testing center until their test is complete. If they can't stay for the entire test session, they must speak to a proctor before the exam. When leaving the test room, test takers must turn in all materials. If the restroom is needed, the test taker must notify the proctor. Using any electronic devices during the use of the restroom is prohibited.
