Award Information for Returning Students

We in the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships heard your request for better communication and earlier awards so we pushed up the timeline and made the commitment to award all eligible returning students in the spring. Awarding earlier than ever before gives students and their families additional time to research alternative funding options, make housing decisions and sign up for an extended 7-month payment plan if interested.  Our goal is to help students take care of all their university finances before summer vacation so the break can be enjoyed worry free.

*Your award package may be different from last year.  Living on campus or commuting along with availability of funds are just two of the many factors used to determine the financial aid award.  If you reported your housing status incorrectly on the FAFSA, be sure to complete the 2020-2021 Change of Award form to have your aid updated accordingly.

Payment Options Beyond the Financial Aid Award

Financial aid does not always cover all expenses, so be sure to have a plan in place to pay any outstanding balance.  Some options include:

Enrollment Status

Please notify our office by completing the 2020-2021 Change of Award form if you will not be attending full-time (12.0 credits for undergraduate, 9.0 credits for graduate students) as all financial aid awards are based on full-time status.

Significant Changes

If your family has experienced a significant change after completing the 2020-2021 FAFSA, please reach out to us to see how we can help.
