Transfer Credit

Current degree-seeking students, who plan to take courses at another institution, must receive prior approval to apply the transfer credit(s) towards their program requirements at Southern. 

To search for a list of undergraduate courses that may be accepted from other Connecticut Institutions, prior to completing your request, please refer to the Transfer Equivalency website

Following approval, students must submit an official transcript to the Registrar's Office showing proof of completion.  Transfer credits will be processed within 5-7 business days from the date official transcript is received. 

Students are responsible to check their unofficial transcript using Banner Web to ensure receipt and posting of the transfer course(s).  Only credits transfer, not grades; therefore, transfer courses do not impact a student's GPA.
