Southern Connecticut State University is currently recruiting for a University Assistant in the School of Education. The position is part-time (max of 19 hrs per week); 1-year appointment (July – June).
Assist with providing support to students, faculty, staff, and school district partners. Assist with supporting student teaching and field placements. Assist with providing direct customer service support and technical proficiency with Microsoft and multiple web-based programs. The position is year-round with limited potential for evening and weekend hours. The hourly rate for this position is $22-$25 an hour.
A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing a customer service environment and experience in a professional background working with Microsoft Excel and Word and web-based software. A successful candidate will demonstrate the desire and ability to learn new skills quickly and a commitment to excellence in a service-oriented environment.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Demonstrated proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and web-based databases (Tk20)
• Demonstrated experience in a professional office setting
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience working in higher education or K-12 environment preferred.
