Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director of International Education (OIE), the University Assistant supports the implementation of the University’s international development strategies, assists in maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders to further develop market activity and achieve specific international objectives; and assists the Director and other University stakeholders in gathering and reviewing market intelligence supporting development of international activity within the University. Work to include supporting the Director and other University stakeholders in the implementation of a marketing and recruitment plan to generate inquiries, applications, and subsequent enrollments to achieve the University’s international recruitment targets; support with international student recruitment activities and processes including recruitment event planning and inquiry follow up.



Degree in Marketing, International Business, or Higher Education required. Experience working or studying outside of the United States and proficiency in at least one foreign language required. Some experience working in international student recruitment required. Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing international recruitment plans. Experience working with Education USA and similar organizations to enhance outreach initiatives. Experience using social media as part of recruitment strategies with experience creating innovative and effective social media campaigns. Demonstrable understanding of global educational developments and their impact on higher education and the international student recruitment environment. Experience with overseas education systems and knowledge about overseas degree pathways. Sound knowledge of CRM principles, and experience in using CRM system and/or databases.
