IT Help Desk

Please check out the Help Desk website for even more tutorials and resources!

Blackboard

Tutorials for Students are available in the “Tutorials” tab in Blackboard Learn 9. To access Blackboard, log in to http://login.southernct.edu and click on the Blackboard app. Tutorials are also listed on the “Blackboard Help – Student” Help Desk article. If additional assistance is needed, please contact the Help Desk (203) 392-5123 or Online Help Desk website.

Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams allows students to communicate and collaborate by providing features such as chat, video meetings, calling, screen sharing, file storage, and integration with other apps such as Outlook.  Teams can be accessed either through the web or with the Teams software. The videos below will show how to access either version of Teams, as well as how to explore the many features Teams has to offer.

You can also practice using Teams with this interactive demo!

MySCSU

Access to the web versions of all your vital SCSU apps can be accessed via the MyApps portal.  These video tutorials will show you exactly how to access the commonly used services, as well as the main portal itself.

WebEx

Your instructor may elect to use WebEx for your class. If they have, please access the WebEx tutorials. Please note, you do not need a WebEx account to participate in a WebEx session.

Live Trainings

If you are new to online collaboration and communication tools offered by SCSU (like OneDrive, Teams, Word Online, etc.) and would prefer to see a live demo, these sessions are for you! These trainings will closely follow the information already provided in the recorded tutorials on this site, so we encourage students to go through the tutorials at your leisure and reach out to the Help Desk if you have any additional questions.
