Volleyball Assistant Coach

Position: Assistant Coach – Volleyball

Department

The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is a NCAA Division II program and member of the Northeast 10. Consisting of 19 athletic teams, SCSU’s outstanding program continually ranks among the top NCAA Division II programs in the nation, and also boasts a long record of dominance in the Northeast for both team and individual championships. The Owls rank among the top 10 nationally with 80 individual NCAA titles and in team championships with 10 NCAA titles.

Part time (19 hours week) $25,000, plus tuition waiver benefits based on AAUP Bargaining Unit Agreement

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: on court coaching, recruiting, fundraising, off-season training, assisting with administrative duties, academic oversight, community engagement activities, implementing and enforcing team, conference and NCAA rules and regulations, reporting to the Head Coach and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of two (2) years of appropriate coaching college, high school and/or club experience, or playing experience at the college or professional level. Must have demonstrated knowledge of volleyball, and must possess effective interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
