University Assistant - Registrar’s Office

The University Assistant position, under the supervision of the Associate Registrar/Scheduling Officer, will assist with functions related to academic scheduling and records updates within the Registrar’s Office. The University Assistant is expected to work between 15-19 hours per week during the one-year contract duration, with an approved schedule of hours according to the needs of the department.

Duties (include but are not limited to):  

  • Assist with data entry, review, and publication of the academic course and final exam schedules.
  • Assist with schedule edits, including but not limited to, instructor assignment, meetings times and locations, addition/cancellation of sections, and course text.
  • Assist with grade change entries and student record indexing.
  • Communicate with University employees and students regarding business related to responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:  
Associate’s Degree or higher required, proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness, ability to devise and maintain record keeping and filing systems.

Preferred Qualifications:  
Previous experience working in the field of higher education and a working knowledge of student information systems.
