The Grant Program Administrator will assist the Executive Director of Research & Innovation in the administration, coordination, and implementation of grant-related goals and objectives. The Grant Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation and coordination of the activities associated with Grant funded and related activities within the Division of Research and Innovation (DRI). The Program Manager may travel to sites throughout the State in the administration of his/her duties. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Program Manager duties include but are not limited to the following: supervises other personnel hired for grant-related activities, coordinates participants in grant-related activities and also prepares data and reports for the Executive Director.

Position Responsibilities:

Collaborates with the Executive Director in the administration and delivery of grant programs and all related activities, including but not limited to research, delivery of services, training, and analysis.

Supervises and manages the grant budget.

Assists in the design of grant-related programs, services and training, and supervises and/or delivers such programs services and/or training.

Develops and delivers presentations services and promotions related to the grant and its goals as well as prepares grant-related documents and reports.

Develops and coordinates the access of research materials of all types for the support of grant-related activities and goals.

Recruits program participants per grant requirements, coordinates their training and participation in grant programs and supervises them in Grant activities as needed.

Collaborates with the Executive Director in the analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of study results. Seeks, assesses and assists with responses to potential sources of new grants and new funding streams

Collaborates with the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research for activities related to pre-award submission and post-award administration

Performs other duties and responsibilities related to those enumerated above that do not alter the basic level of responsibility of the position.


B.S. required in a related field to grant subject matter M.A./M.S. preferred. A minimum of 3 years-experience with program coordination and/or assistant management is required. Evidence of organizational and leadership skills. Strong analytical and communication skills. Excellent writing and data analysis skills. Experience organizing, conducting, and analyzing research data and in writing reports. Ability to diplomatically serve as liaison to all university administrative offices and external entities involved in grant funded and other related activities. Computer literacy. Expertise and experience using research and data analysis techniques including those requiring Human Subjects. Previous experience in grant writing and implementation highly preferred. Special qualifications in skills expertise may be added pursuant to the requirements of the grant. Any of the above qualifications many be waived for individuals possessing equivalent alternate experience.
