Hours: Part Time (10 hours/week) and Full Time (20 hours/week)

Position Summary: The Biology Department is seeking highly motivated graduate assistants to provide support to the biology faculty, adjuncts, and university assistant.  The graduate assistants will be responsible for assisting with our undergraduate biology labs, including putting out supplies, setting up experiments, coordinating delivery of materials received, and other duties as assigned by the department chairperson and/or the university assistant. The graduate assistants will be able to practice valuable biology related skills relevant to the current running undergraduate labs.   

Qualifications: To qualify you MUST be an enrolled SCSU student AND maintain a 3.0 grade point average.  Applicants must be knowledgeable of general lab equipment as well as possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and creative problem-solving skills.  Applicants must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Graduate assistants must be available to work part time (10 hours per week) or full time (20 hours per week) Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm.
