Coach I – Assistant Athletic Trainer (10 months)

The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is a NCAA Division II program and a member of the Northeast 10 Conference, as well as the Gymnastics East Conference (GEC).  Consisting of 19 varsity teams, SCSU’s outstanding program continually ranks among the top NCAA Division II programs in the nation, and also boasts a long record of dominance in the Northeast for both team and individual championships. The Owls rich tradition of success consist of 83 Northeast 10 Conference Championships, over 1,200 All-Americans, 80 NCAA individual titles and 10 NCAA team championship titles.


Full Time, Contractual


Responsibilities include coverage at practices and home contests, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Work in conjunction with team physician and other staff athletic trainers. Some travel with assigned sport teams may be required. Maintain medical files and perform other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.


A master’s degree preferred, BOC certified and two (2) years of appropriate professional level experience. Must hold a current Athletic Training license in the State of Connecticut. Commitment in following the letter and spirit of NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations. Ability to effectively work with a diverse population of student athletes and coaches in a cultural climate that celebrates diversity.
