
Completing a degree program and preparing for today's job market requires that students be well prepared, creative, and able to use a variety of programs and services that help them develop the necessary skills. To provide our students with the most up-to-date and comprehensive career development tools, the Office of Career and Professional Development offers an array of career planning programs to help students decide what major to pursue, what career best suits them, and how to begin the all-important job search process.
All programs and events are open to undergraduate and graduate students.
Career Fairs
Career Fairs are opportunities for students to connect with employers and organizations about upcoming opportunities. These experiences allow students to connect with local, regional, and national level employers and connect via video chat software.
Career & Internship Industry Fair Series
Southern Connecticut State University would like to cordially invite you to our 2023/2024 Industry Fair Series hosted by The Office of Career and Professional Development. All of our fairs will be held in the Adanti Student Center Ballroom.
In partnership with academic departments, our industry fairs provide students and alumni with an intimate setting to discuss and explore career paths with industry experts and hiring managers. It is a platform to connect SCSU talent and community; identifying open and future opportunities.

- All class years, all majors are welcome to join, explore and engage
- Professional dress optional but encouraged
- A list of attending employers and available positions can be viewed on JOBSs
- Workshops will be available to prepare for the event
- You do NOT need to attend the entire 2 hours of your selected event, it is intended to work around your schedule
- Attend as many sessions as you’d like

As part of Career and Major Exploration Week, please join us as we welcome The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) National Internship Program. HNIP offers virtual and onsite paid opportunities for college students to obtain career experience in the federal government. A representative from HNIP will be on-site to share details, discuss upcoming application deadlines, and answer questions.
