Faculty and Staff,
We’re at the start of the third week of online learning! Thank you all for being so adaptable during this time.
We hope you’ve had a chance to check out the technology resources support page. This page includes additional information on all of the following services. These services are supported by SCSU and are considered the CSCU standard for course delivery and collaboration.
Blackboard - Blackboard Learn 9 is our LMS (Learning Management System) for online teaching and learning. Blackboard provides a convenient interface for uploading course content and modules, for collecting tests and assignments, grading submissions, and more.
Kaltura Media - Kaltura lets you create and share an unlimited number of videos and audio recordings in Blackboard. Uploaded files are automatically converted into multiple formats for a seamless viewing experience. No plugins or special software are required to view videos.
Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Teams is a powerful tool that allows synchronous and asynchronous communication and collaboration. This chat-based collaboration platform features document sharing with live editing, online meetings, and many more useful features.
WebEx - WebEx allows users to host or participate in video conferencing, online meetings, and screen sharing in a virtual meeting room. Faculty and staff can host meetings with a dial-in number that participants can call.
Please be wary of offers and tools that are not officially supported by SCSU or CSCU. Though many of the offers may seem sincere and desirable, using them may lead to additional security and privacy risks.
For assistance, training opportunities, and recorded sessions on delivering a course remotely, please visit the Office of Online Learning.
If you experience any technical issues with these technologies, please contact the IT Help Desk.
