Major Exploration Series

Whether you’re totally undecided, confidently declared or somewhere in-between, it’s best to explore your options before fully committing to a major. Students who make the effort to explore are more likely to choose a major that aligns with their interests and are ultimately more successful!

How to Take Advantage of This Opportunity!

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THE MAJOR FAIRS?

Everyone is welcome! These events are MOST beneficial for first-year students, declared and Exploratory!

While it seems obvious that these types of events would be geared toward Exploratory students, it's just as important for declared first-year students to attend! Even though you may have a declared major, you owe it to yourself to learn more about your current majors and explore all of the options available at Southern. Who knows, you may find a major that's an even BETTER fit for you!

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE MAJOR FAIRS

These types of events can feel a little overwhelming...we get it! With so many options, how can you know where to start? Luckily, we have a great tool to help you narrow things down ahead of time and identify only the majors that are true possibilities for you. Doing so will allow you to figure out which major fairs are best to attend!

Download and follow the instructions for our Major Elimination Tool to narrow down your potential majors.
